Download Minecraft Pocket Edition – Bedrock Engine free on Android

Minecraft is available on devices including Pocket Edition (for all mobile platforms like iOS, Android), Windows 10 Edition, Xbox One Edition, Nintendo Switch Edition, Gear VR Edition, and Fire TV Edition. Apple TV Edition has discontinued shortly after. Although all versions of Minecraft Bedrock Engine are almost identical, the price varies depending on the platform you use. For instance, Minecraft Bedrock Engine costs $ 7 (on CH Play and App Store), but the Xbox One and TV versions cost $ 20. The most expensive versions are Windows 10, and Nintendo Switch cost $ 30. The Windows 10 version is also sold in the Master Collection for $ 50 and includes more DLC and Minecoin. If you’re anyone like me, paying $ 6.99 for a game worthwhile is perfectly fine. But it may be too risky to pay anything for a game you are not sure whether it is good or not that suits your game style. Think of this as a way to test the game before you buy it, so, in the end, you don’t have to pay $ 7 for waste storage.

What is Minecraft?

Minecraft is a line of survival and creative games on PC. A Swedish developer Markus “Notch” Persson created it and inspired by the Infiniminer, Dwarf Fortress, and Dungeon Keeper games. After Notch created the game, Mojang developed and published it.

Only with a variety of square blocks will you transform into a character in the game to perform tasks or build buildings by assembling blocks in the 3D world.

Activities in the game include searching, gathering resources, making, and fighting like real-world worlds.

There are many modes of gameplay that you can experience, such as survival mode, creative mode, and the adventure mode to enjoy and improve your playing skills.

The PC version of the game is very popular with third-party mods. The Pocket Edition pocket version follows although it is also equally popular with its high portability and series of Add-ons. In this article, we will mainly explain the PE version.

On September 15, 2014, Microsoft announced that Mojang purchased the agreement and ownership of Minecraft with intellectual property rights for $ 2.5 billion; Microsoft completed the acquisition on November 6, 2014.

Although the developer does not invest as much in the graphics of Minecraft games as many other popular games, the gameplay in Minecraft brings strange attraction to gamers perhaps because of the creativity it requires to play.

Imagine the future as technology evolves to the point where we can genuinely feel and interact with each other in this virtual world through Virtual Reality (VR) Glasses and a set of armor that can simulate the feel of the human body! When this time comes, Minecraft will be the pioneer.

Minecraft Game modes

The default game mode is the first-person perspective, but the player can install to play the third-person perspective as well.

The world in the game is mainly raw 3D blocks representing different materials such as earth, stone, various ore, water, wood, etc.

Minecraft world divided into many different biomes from desert to forest to snowy land.

The time in the game operates on the day and night cycles with each cycle lasting 20 minutes in real time.

In the game, you will have the opportunity to meet many creatures called “mobs,” including animals, villagers, and monsters. Animals such as cows, pigs, chickens, and sheep can be hunted to be eaten or make materials. You need to note that these animals are born during the day, but they can be hunted at all times.

At night there will be monsters like spiders, skeletons, and zombies as well as other dangerous creatures like Creeper, Slime, and Enderman. Therefore, when playing, you need to be careful when you come across any of these creatures.

In Minecraft, there are two worlds other than the main world; the Nether and the End.

  • The Nether: To go to Nether, you have to build a gate which requires numerous unique resources, and many dangers are waiting for you.
  • The End is a barren land, and there is a Boss dragon called the Ender Dragon. After killing the dragon, you will receive the achievement “The End.” There is also another boss, “The Wither.” When you defeat ‘The Wither,’ you will receive an item that is hell.

The game consists mainly of five game modes, Creative mode, Adventure mode, Spectator mode, Multiplayer, and Hardcore. Players can change the level of the game from easiest to most difficult.

Here is what you need to know about these modes:

Creative mode

(The command to switch to creative mode: / gamemode creative)

True to its name. This mode is mainly based on your creativity. You can search and use unlimited resources in the game. You won’t need to worry about having a shovel, a pickaxe or a table because with Creative Mode everything is ready.

In this creative mode, your only task is to design and build. You are an architect whose mission is to build buildings and art pieces from what you have on hand. Therefore, you need to think critically, be determined, and willing to design and build anything using the art pieces you’ve on hand.

Another advantage in this mode is that you won’t have to worry about anything that could endanger you like you bleed or die. The only way you can die in this mode is to use the “/ kill” command (your character’s name) or fall into “The void” – Bedrock.

Besides, you can let your character fly in the sky (Fly Mode) like a real superhuman.

In particular, you can also hatch your eggs and create any of the animals you would like. In other words, in creative mode, you are God with all the infinite power in hand.

If you are new to Minecraft, you can get used to this mode with ease.

Survival mode

(The command changes to survival mode: / gamemode survival).

Survival mode is the most difficult and complex game mode, and if you don’t have any experience, you should not choose this level from the beginning. You will be surprised like Robinson when you are lost in a desert island with absolutely no tools in your hands to survive.

You have to do everything yourself from finding resources, making tools, weapons, shelters, food, etc. It’s easier to understand if you are in Creative mode because you are the most powerful person and you can do everything with the world. However, in Survival mode, everything will be the opposite and quite hard.

In addition to doing everything, you are also very vulnerable when you fall, hungry, touch the lava or dive underwater for too long. Dangerous mobs can also hurt you

Don’t worry. You can customize different levels of this mode from: (Peaceful / Easy / Normal and Hard) depending on your capability.

  • Peaceful level – You will never feel hungry nor need to eat, but in return, you can still be attacked by dangerous mobs. If you touch the lava for too long, fall from above or roll in the water for too long, you will still lose blood.
  • Easy – You may feel hungry, and if you fail to eat you will not die.
  • Normal and Hard – Here, your character will die if you are too hungry. Also, your chances of being attacked by dangerous mobs will also be high.

In survival mode, you can still build your buildings (if you want and can afford it) break the island by looking to The End Biome and destroying the Ender Dragon.

Hardcore mode

This is the real challenge mode for every Minecraft player because when playing Survival mode and unfortunately dying, you can still revive and continue playing. But with this difficult regime, death means the end of the game. You will lose all your experience, the achievements you have achieved from the beginning of the game, the trees, the houses, the resources, etc. everything will disappear!

This mode is the same as the way you would show bravery, skills, and ability to survive when playing Minecraft.

Spectator mode

(The command switches to Spectator mode: / gamemode spectator)

This mode allows you to fly through blocks and see everything around you, but you cannot interact with them.

Therefore, with this mode, you can enter any player or creature in the game, look at the surroundings through the character’s perspective you enter, but you can’t move. However, some things may differ from the perspective of the creature you choose to enter.

Adventure mode

(The command switches to Adventure mode: /gamemode adventure)

Like a mode of combination of Survival and Creativity, Adventure Mode gives you an experience like an adventure to explore, and tour around the entire map (but can’t break everything by 1 Click as in Creative Mode).

Compared to the above three modes, adventure mode seems to be the least attractive, and hence, it is also the least choice mode to play on as per most players.

Multiplayer mode

This mode allows players to connect to other servers and build constructions together. But you need the IP address for you to create your server.

In Bedrock Edition, players can use Microsoft account to login to Xbox if they are willing to play in this mode.

Regardless of which mode you decide to play, Minecraft can be a simple game or a very complex game depending on your perspective. If you are considering playing Minecraft, researching the game and above all practicing can help you make your playing skills better.

Above are all current versions of Minecraft. However, in this section, we will mainly go into the introduction of Minecraft Pocket Edition and the latest version of Minecraft Bedrock Edition – Bedrock Engine.

Minecraft Pocket Edition

The Pocket Edition no longer exists. Minecraft: Pocket Edition (MCPE or PE) was the former title of the mobile versions of Minecraft developed by Mojang AB. Pocket Edition also introduced the Bedrock Engine which was later incorporated into the non-mobile forms the:

Gear VR Edition
Windows 10
Fire TV Edition and
Apple TV Edition

All these editions received the Better Together Update where the Edition subtitle was removed, and all were given the official name Minecraft. The Minecraft community, however, refers to these versions collectively as the Bedrock Edition. This is because Bedrock is the name of C++ codebase from which they are all derived from.

Release

Mojang first released this Pocket Edition on Xperia Play on Google Play on 16th August 2011 and later released to other Android versions on 7th October 2011. On 17th November 2011, they released this MCPE on IOS. On 13th September 2012, the app was available on Amazon App store for purchase. They released the Windows version on 10th December 2014.

Minecraft Pocket Edition free was quite successful. It sold over 16.5 million copies while the java Edition had sold 13 million copies. These stats came out after the 0.8.0 update. It is on the top chart of the Google play paid apps section.

Important to note is that the pocket edition also had other adaptable feature to mobile standards such as interactions via touch screen for both IOS and Android versions. Several features also had to be revised to comply with the touchscreen gameplay. And examples are the crafting system that uses the MATTIS system as well as the items that are disposed of by long tapping on the icons placed on the hot bar. The Pocket Edition difference from the Jave Edition was:
The difference in the mods

Four ways multiplier connection though:
LAN, allowing five players connected to a single world
Pocket realms
User-created external server
Xbox Live

Minecraft Bedrock Edition

Bedrock Edition (also known as the Bedrock Version or just Bedrock) refers to the multi-platform family of editions of Minecraft developed by Mojang AB, Xbox Game Studios, 4J Studios, and SkyBox Labs.

The Bedrock Edition is also known as the Better Together Update. This significant update is from the Pocket Edition that was renamed to Minecraft. Mojang has added support to Xbox One and also introduced cross-platform gameplay, and the game gets much closer features of the Java Edition.

The new feature on the Bedrock Edition was:
Parrots
Firework rockets
Armor stands
World options and more.

Release

Mojang released Bedrock Edition version for Xbox One on 20th September 2017. The Bedrock Edition also has support for the Nintendo Switch. But the developer did not initially release due to the cross-connectivity problems as well as upgrading of the old world. They released digitally and physically for the Nintendo Switch on June 21, 2018.

The Bedrock Edition is a significant representation of the upgrades done in the history of computer gaming in the sense that it extends Crossplay. Crossplay is the ability of players on different platforms to play interactively in the same world. The minecraft pocket edition free supported Crossplay between VR platforms, mobile and windows 10. The bedrock edition added support for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch which has increased the number of devices that could participate in the gaming

Mojang also designs the Bedrock Edition to work on Sony PlayStation 4, but Sony declined to join on September 2017. Microsoft stated that they were still in talks with Sony to see if there is a possible future agreement. Microsoft has also said that there is plat to have Minecraft ported to Macintosh, Linux and any other platform that might have strong demand to expand Crossplay.

The unification of the game on different platforms made the name Pocket Edition out-dated. This was when Microsoft decided to refer to the games as Bedrock Engine or the Bedrock Edition when there is a need to differentiate the versions from non-cross playing editions. The term Bedrock comes from the internal name of its source code databases.

The official name of the Minecraft version will not include “Bedrock Edition” as a subtitle. It has been changed to Minecraft to emphasize. Minecraft Pocket Edition Free Download.
