You can find the first village in the north of the first place you spawn or you can find it by following the river to your left. You can get a blacksmith containing 2 gold and 3 iron ingots, 3 breads, and 13 ink sacs.
You can find 2 blacksmiths in a double village. Of these two villages, one is savannah and one is normal village. While the savannah village is just partly generated in the snow, the normal one is entirely at snow biome. You can find an ice spikes biome if you go further into the snow. The blacksmiths also offer you some really great items such as iron swords, horse armor or saddle, etc.
